Funny - it was years before I realized that the cowl around Impy's head was not attached. When I was a kid, I seriously thought that thing was like a huge dark-purple afro. The way the action figure was made didn't help.

Great pic, too. I always love seeing rare photos like this.

Same here. It really doesn't hit home till you see him on Gamoray in the over the shoulder shot. Then I was like... "oh"

I was a bit confused also during the early days, but I quickly figured out once I started to see stills.
