I love the dash, the detail is out standing, and the photo does it justice in every way imaginable. I am sure the cockpit will cover it up like you mentioned, but you know what you have inside. The lights good awesome. Thank you so much for sharing.

NEW PICS !!!

I'm in love, great work. The ship is perfect. I can't wait to "put it" into space :)

Hey, thanks very much guys !! I really appreciate the feedback.

Well, it's finally done. I just got the last parts attached and some additional weathering on the engines. I'm going to take some preliminary shots of the finished model tonight and will try to set up a backdrop and lights in the shop to get some better shots for compositing tomorrow.

This one is finished. I'll be photographing it tomorrow with a backdrop and better lighting but here she is with all the parts assembled. I'd like to add a pilot at some point so the canopy is not attached yet.

I really appreciate everyone's advice and encouragement along the way.

The Imperious Leader is proud of you!

You've done EXCELLENT work on this!

Do you have any other projects in mind?

Thanks, guys. It's been a pleasure posting here.

Other than the SS shuttle I have a couple of kits that I want to get out of the way before scratch building again. I would like to do more scratch building, though, and I figure if I don't do the kits now I'll never get to them. I'm on the fence with one of them though and contemplating selling it instead. It's the Blue Moon version of the B-Wing fighter from StarWars. It's a fine kit but at this point I really want to focus on the studio scale builds so it seems a little small in comparison. The other kit is the MaK. Falke resin kit from FutchFactor http://futchfactor.com/gallery/jefalke/DSCN5329.jpg. This one will be fun for painting and weathering as i have a custom paint scheme in mind for that.

I also have the new studio scale Colonial Movers kit on order so that will be the next studio scale build after the shuttle is done.

Here are some links to hi-rez photos for composites. I haven't done any thing to these photos yet.

I'm looking forward to what you can do with these !!!

My shop is a pain to do photography in. I don't have the right setup for it. I'll be taking some more shots of this for posterity and I'll post the better ones as I can. These 2 are the best of what I did today.

Let me know if you can't get these photos. They should be in a public access area on RI.

I got them!
WOW :)

I'll work on putting the ship into space, the final frontier - OOPS! Wrong show ;)

@dbhs what is your screen resolution? I can make a wallpaper to your screen size for you too. And one for ByYourCommand.net if you don't mind (with your credit of it for sure) :cylon: :byyourcommand:

1600 x 1200.

The color and clarity turned out so much better in these pictures. I was adjusting the exposure setting on the camera but didn't take any notes. Unfortunately the little screen on the camera is useless and i'm just changing the settings a whole bunch to get a variety of shots. Probably took about 50 photos. There's a handful of decent ones but most are too dark, too bright, too yellow, etc. I'll have to get some other angles shot as well but I think this main view does the ship the most justice.

Here's where I got my composite so far. I need to haze-out the more distant craft at the top. It looks closer to me than the big one and it should be behind. I did a little blur distortion but it's not the right effect. Do you know how to do that?

I am in awe.....This is a current piece for the history book. All though it never did seen screen time as a unseen piece of Cylon history this is a an other view that Ralph saw that could have been if Glen and the boys would of made an other choice. Congrats on such a fine build. :cylongold:

Looking good. Yes, I can add in the blurs and put the back ship out of focus. EASY STUFF! (Now, If I had to build the model, that would be a train wreck ;))

Consider me impressed again.

How about adding a McQuarrie-style Centurion in the pilot seat?

Not to take away from this build, but look at what I re-found. I forgot all about seeing this years ago. This is a concept ship from Richard Hatch's book The Great War of Magellan.
