Re: Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition photo thread
Very good! Thanks again for all the photos - hope you had fun at the show. Get a chance to vist with anyone "in-the-know" about the props?
Say, Red Eye and I were wondering... where is Vulpa? Did he go out for ice cream??? Didn't see him in with Robby, B9, Twiki, etc. Maybe he snores and they kicked him out?! *GASP* poor Vulpa.

I made a inqury about Vulpa and it was a set dressing mistake that was made. Vulpa was going to show up today (Monday). I met a few people from Colonial Fleets, Crashdown, Jack Morrisey and Alec Peters. A few other guys from Prop Works but they didn't get to hang around much. The Prop sight was hacked while they were in route so they had to bringvthe sight back up.

I bet you'll find these two videos very interesting as the team of the BJ Shea morning experience visits the BSG exhibition at Seattle:
They also had the luck to have the museum's curator Brooks Peck as guide, who gives them some nice in-depth information about the artifacts.
Mr. Peck also solves the mystery of the unusual pose of Vulpa, since the guys who put him on display wanted to get him posed after the vintage Mattel action figure for unkown reasons...

cool vids with the below issues
-Star Trek font at the start.... ugh *oops*
-Camera Man... SLOW DOWN!
-NO G1980 love?!!! FRACKKERS -lol-
-Starbuck coffee shop name from BSG? Nope. Wikipedia says: The name is taken from Moby-Dick; after Pequod was rejected by one of the co-founders, the company was named for the first mate on the Pequod, Starbuck.

Good information there Mr Knight, also just a follow up comment on the video about the Starbuck name. The Chain Starbucks was named or created 7 years before the series so it could be said that the pilot Starbuck took the name from the coffee, but it would be some 25 years later before Starbucks coffee became as well known, or more popular that the "Second Coming" of the Starbuck name.....Little play on words there "Second Coming" giving Apollo a nod on Richard's short film trailer.

I wonder where the guy got "carboard" for the Cylon's armor from? Maybe part of the backing... or the rifles... or SOMETHING was cardboard? Couldn't be the armor!!!

Brooks is just delaying a story he heard, and has it a tad wrong is all. Next time I talk with him I give him the heads up on the real inside story of what happened.

You're going to visit the exhibition again?
Would you take a few more photos of the Leader, please?
I could use some side shots of the headpiece...

When Brooks and I have a meeting of the minds to have a Cylon display I'll go back up there. They build a semi loose idea of what to place up, and rotate out every few months to keep a interest in the show, and the idea of having a Cylon display is something we have talked about, and is food for thought right now, and when or if it happens I will go back, and get the photos you request, and maybe a video or two.Red Eye wrote:You're going to visit the exhibition again?

Great! I really hope your plan becomes reality!
It would be cool to see your Cylon on display there, too... any plans on that?

What I have in mind is a awesome display, but I want to keep that thought close to me, and those involved. As it unfolds those I have in mind to be part of it will hear more about it.Red Eye wrote:Great! I really hope your plan becomes reality!
