Hey a Cylon is a Cylon no matter what you do to make a Cylon that is great. Now if there can be pink Darth Vader's and everyone can tell it is a Vader the same goes with the Cylons. Have fun expanding the thoughts on your version of the Cylon. Can't wait to see it come along in the build.

How about a black Stealth Centurion?

I bet it'll look VERY cool...

Hello everyone,

heh heh,I was thinking of a more subdued one, glow in the dark green with the Nike symbol on the feet and the Chevy bow tie on the chest, and the tall roman broom crest with the horse tail.

But seriously, how would a dark red, (dark red in the light, black at night), with black undersuit?

new question, if the ribs are 1/8 inch, how many are there? (I think 30, from the armpits to the hips)

A black/black under suit would look good against dark red. Maybe even a REALLY deep red - nearly black/black would work too. Sort of like how a Star Wars Imperial Guard has a deeper read under suit.

I think the ribs are a bit more than 1/8 of an inch apart... and If I recall there are 40 of them? (Fuzzy memory, don't quote me!) Could be 30... it is a boat load of ribs whatever it is.

Hello everyone,

I was thinking of this, possibly darker. But this is the best pic I have. My friends call this color blood red.

Looks good. So, you'll have the luster that paint will give? And maybe a gloss coat? I don't know if you'll find anyone to "chrome" it in that hue... but maybe, I'm just thinking that would be hard to find (or if you did - NOT CHEAP).

Hello everyone,
Thought I would pass on some info about the lighted panels.

After a long discussion with the boss on the matter, he says that it would be a waste of time and funds to add lights to the cylon panels. As he tells me, unless the costume is a display piece in a dimly lit area or in the dark, you would not see the lights at all. especially outside or in a bright lit convention. But if they were animated then it would be interesting.

Hello everyone,

For those that have a undersuit, can you post pics of the back side?
And how do you put it on?

I haven't got my undersuit yet, but here are some goodies for you anyway...

These photos are from the back of an original undersuit:

And here are some replica ones:

The lower section is secured by using suspenders like this:

Hope I could help.

Hello everyone,
looks like there is a shirt top with the sleeves, then a wader type pants. and also looks like there are 2 zippers up the back on the pants. Is this right?

Correct - you could sum the suit up as: a long sleeve hoodie, and wader type pants that have suspenders to hold them up. Two huge zippers up the back of the legs.

Hello everyone,

With those that have screen used helmets, could you send a pic of the eye slot with the lights off?
what I am wondering is, was the screen used eye slot red or black when the lights are off.

thanks,

The eye slot is black. The only thing that is red is the defusing material in front of the light bulbs.

hello everyone,

My brains not running on full yet (not enough caffeine), So the eye slot is black when he is dead. That means a minor change to my other project. :ugh:
