Re: My cylon build in CT
Nice find Jim. Even to get that one is like finding a needle in a haystack. I spent ages looking for one of those and by pure chance typing in the Cine camera belt I found a GM Power one. You are making fast progress gaining some of the really hard to find items.

Re: My cylon build in CT
I’m looking for the pistol and sword now. If I can find the accessories now and get the armor and helmet later that might be a easier way for me. Up next is the boots I found. I found the pistol holster and pistol set but it’s alil out of reach right now and I’d like a stunt pistol for now to start. Gonna get the holster once the guy I have been talking to restocks his store. Any leads would be great

Now the big question.... should I take the batteries out to shed the weight or leave them in?

Re: My cylon build in CT
A functional pistol is way better than stunt if you can afford it. Don't get ne wrong, a prop one does have it's place though - very true. You'll be stopping for photos and can "shoot" the camera, no problem.
Functional lights and sounds are just so much more fun to surprise lowly humans with.
Hero ones can be more delicate, sure, but your not going to be doing cartwheels when chromed up. With very poor vision, you'll always need a handler. They can help holster the pistol if you need. Once you have it in the glove, a Cylon death grip keeps it in place easy.
My rifle is wooden. Wooo... a few hours of lugging it around is a chore. But so worth it! Heehee *pew* *pew*
...speaking of weight, I'd vote for ditching the belt batteries. 1. Weight, like you said (and like my rifle). Unnecessary and probably uncomfortable. And 2. I'd be afraid a cell could eventually fail due to age, temperature shifts, lots of movement getting transported, put on and then trooping. Once you have an epic under suit I'd cry if a battery went to town leaking... ACK!
Of the three weapons, to me, the sword is actually the hardest Centurion accessory. It is okay-enough to remove from the scabbard. Then holding it up is okay-ish... but it is hard to tell where you're pointing it safely with zero peripheral vision. Might smack an eager con goer who slides in beside you for a photo you're not aware of, might turn and clobber them.
And then, for me, returning the sword to the scabbard is way to hard with gloves and helmet on. Again, a chore for my trusty hander. Weapons, walking, cleaning up finger prints on my chrome - lowly humans are good for a few things.

I'll ask my Cylon-At-Arms who made my sword if he'd be interested in crafting another as a commission for you, if you're interested. Let me know. Wooden, no scabbard. Scabbard can probably get from C.O.R.A., I got mine from him.
@GoldCylon
You remember when I about got you with my bayonet at Galacticon 3? Came up next to me... "Hey John." My instinct was to turn toward the voice... "WHOA!" Bayonet lead the way. Heehee. #sorries

Re: My cylon build in CT
That would be great if he would be able to commission one for me.
I will reach out to C.O.R.A. And see if he has one available.
I tried in the belt lastnight and it’s not too heavy but I agree that the cells might get damaged over time and leak out I might replace them with wood blocks to keep the shape of the beli intact.
I remember when I was making my Vader suit how long it took to get everything in hand and when a box was delivered I was like a little kid at Christmas and was soooo excited to open it and see my new stuff.
Thank you for your help I really appreciate it

Totally unexpected gift today in my mailbox. Now to the modification to make them cylon hands lol. Need a little stitch repair on a finger but that’s simple.

Had to do a little work on a stitch before I start to color my gloves. And boom all done. Fixed it no problem.

My cylon build in CT
While I was modifying my gloves I was watching the return of Starbuck and saw that CY was missing the gunmetal strips on his gloves
And you can see the salt and pepper holes in his helmet

Great progress! lil CY is rocking it
Great find on Cy's gloves. Yeah, things slipped through the cracks on G80. Were they absent in every one of his scenes, I wonder?
