I should be on display at the BSG exhibition, as soon as it's finished...
Great work again!

The Galactica that is on display is a replica, and it was 1 of original 3 that were ordered. The other 2 ships Pegasus, and Atlantia were canned. Maybe a Viper Raider, and a Shuttle Craft would be a nice touch to the display. Hey we can't forget a awesome Cylon Baseship either, but as of know no one has 100% completed finished a 1:1 SS ship that I am aware of. Other projects that pay have a priority in the pocket book.

I'd love to see the A/B Raider on display, too...
That would be cool!

Red Eye, did you see "Hollywood Treasures" on SyFy tonight? It is the Profiles in History gang finding the items they sell, and visiting the homes of the people that own the most amazing movie stuff! AND they go to studios like Sony, etc. WOW -o- WOW

I have a weeks worth of catching up to post up here. I'm finally done with the building and will start the final painting next.
As always, thanks for looking.
Front bottom side details installed.
Overall shots and primer in progress.
Landing gear built. The landing gear is tough and really hard to see how it held up to the abuse of filming. There's hardly any surface area where the glue is holding the parts together. .....It's the miracle of super glue.
Canopy parts all installed.
All of the "to be painted separately" pieces hot-glued on their sticks.
Primer completed on all parts.

The attention to detail is outstanding. A very proud build of this, and your other projects. I love watching you pump life into a few pieces of plastic parts.

Thanks, Guys !!
I ordered up some paint last night so I can start doing some test mixes on the colors. I'll probably paint up this and the Raider around the same time. That one's been sitting in primer for nearly a year now and needs to get wrapped up too.

Hey Doug would you be willing to bring those to Sac for a photo shoot with the Cylons, and your BSG related ships? I can arrange to have a pro photographer to come over probably.

Here's the raider .... waiting to be painted.
I got an extra wing by mistake and used it to do a alternate damaged wing that I can take on and off. I used the crooked plate in the front as a "patch" over the damage. I'll paint it like a new or different colored panel in this version.

The damaged wing was a lot of fun to build actually.
There's the build diary on my website. I'll start a separate thread for it here when I get to painting.
I'm sure I can arrange to bring them to Sac for a photo shoot. That would be fun. I need to get them finished up and on some permanent bases. Maybe this coming spring?

That damaged wing looks cool, and spring sounds good to me.

That's right. The guns and the fins that sit inside the engine openings are in the way for painting so they'll get glued on last. Good eye !
