Agreed on the lights. Looking at the static shots of the original the rope seems quite long. I wish the chaser sequence would be more programable... it's either fast or slow.

I think the rope length is correct, but I think you just have more lights is all. Say instead of 4-5 inches apart yours is more like 2-3 inches apart. If you are able to split the line open and cut the power to single lights with out cutting all the power that would make things look a bit better.

Thanks Red Eye. This project is turning out to be quite...hard. But it will have an end to it.

The rope lights are what is commercially available so I dont have much of a choice. Here is a video with adjusted light speeds. The camera's light was on making the quality aweful.

Great vid!!! I think the lights look really good around 46 sec into the vid, nice medium pace.
IL Centurion?? ;)

I think it looks pretty good. You work WONDERS!

Have you figured out a way of using noise-activated LED's in the mouth yet?

yes - there are simple kits which run on 9V batteries. I intend to use two kits for the mouth so that only the top or bottom can be turned on. Have you ever noticed that sometimes only the top or bottom are on?

GREAT news!

Yeah, I was wondering about that, too.

Perhaps it was caused by different camera angles?

Great news - I just got off the phone with my "eye guy" and the project is moving along nicely. He will provide a youtube video by Tuesday of next week. All I have to do is figure out the mouth and then that will complete the components!! I did a test with the sound activated board and it turns out that I will intentionally go with a momentary swtich to control the mouth... I found it silly that Lucifer would be talking whenever everybody else was :nah:

So!... within the next two weeks the IL project will be wrapping up and Redeye will finally have his complete cast of Cylons!
