You need a photo of you aka the Cylon seated in the K.I.T.T. car as your logo 8)

Heeheehee, Oh yes, I've thought of that and many other photos I'll be taking when I have both projects done. Including the "thumbs-up" pose next to K.I.T.T.
(Like this photo)

Oh what fun I'll have

Good question nashslash - Don't worry I've not giving up!
I've been trying to figure out how to make a scanner. I got some good leads tonight via email from an electronics magazine (emailed an author of an article for some blinking lights board article). I've worn my helmet a few times this week - my dogs looked at me like I was weird or something!

I need to work on filling / sanding it soon.
I stopped at a sporting goods store tonight to try and look at hockey gloves (don't see any on eBay now). But they didn't sell hockey stuff at that store - they told me about another one across the highway I'll stop by someday.
I've got my Revell Raider model to finish as well, can't forget it.
BUT the best and biggest news is - I am about to order the rest of the armor! I am going to put my money where my grill (mouth) is and follow through on my dream! (A complete costume)

I have plenty of gloves, about 10 pairs, but I don't have the original style on hand. If you want something just close enough I have what you need. Small med, or large fit, and they run $60 shipped US.

What size do you need. I'll take photos of what sizes I have tomorrow. They are in storage, but easy to retrieve.

Photos of the Large would be great please. Maybe sitting next to a ruler so I can be for certain? I know small would be a NO! But Med - to Large, depends on how the manufacturer "sizes."

These are basic sizes. If your of average size or bigger you need large gloves. A teen would use the medium sized or smaller gloves. A ruler wont help at all because of the thick padding in the gloves.

good news on the armour front cylon knight... i just bought a new lid myself and will be doing a build post project also. as for the eye. a friend of mine in our local costume group has assured me that he can make the eye for no more than $60. cheaper than Krop and Hyper. now i have received the kit i am going to give him the scanner slot so he can build the scanner into. hopefully there might be a few for sale too. hes a bit of a wiz with the electronics as hes the owner of R2D2. he made all the logic circuits and the sound board...and done all the radio stuff himself.

I'm looking for a good eye scanner, too. If your friend can do them for $60, I'm interested as well.
