That brings a whole new meaning to the title of the episode....
This is still one of my guilty faves.

Good one!
Guess they inserted a short scene from "Living Legend" and thought nobody would notice...
Surely production wise Fire in Space was made first before The Living Legend and especially with the production order numbers I know of..?

I'm pretty sure that Wolfman Jack told Centauri to keep his place when Roger Davis ordered the Cylon to hurt the DJ if he didn't respond to their 'requests' in Conquest of The Earth but in the TV version I'm sure I didn't catch that in the episode! I have really only recently seen that episode but had seen Conquest numerous times over the years!

It just hit me why Michael in "Greetings from Earth" felt so threatened by Reese.... That black Council Security uniform probably made him think Reese was an Eastern Alliance enforcer.

Or maybe he'd seen him on an old Bionic Woman rerun while in cryosleep?

On Carillon we see Apollo climb into his Viper in his dress uniform and cape, but once they cut to a cockpit view he's wearing a battle jacket, as are Starbuck and Boomer. Rather cramped quarters for a quick change.

Good catch, Specter! We need a "nit-pickers guide to classic BSG." Nothing against the show or crew, just fune to document all the little items of triva like this that the quick pace production let go. They didn't figure we'd be around on this thing called "the internet" decades later... watching their every move.....

He definitely says it in the episode. “Keep your place, tin man.”

This is no big revelation, just something I hadn’t really thought of before… Sheba never has a scene with Boxey. It’s not really surprising, because they were phasing out Boxey right as they were phasing in Sheba. But given that she and Apollo were becoming an item, it’s just interesting that we never saw Boxey interact with his potential adoptive mother.

During Apollo's conversation with Boxey in the landram on Carillon, the springs in the seats are incredibly noisy. Every time there's a little bounce, it's CREAK CREAK CREAK. It wasn't like that in the original (deleted) version, and you can notice that noise stopping whenever they cut away to Serina because her reaction shots were filmed as part of the early version.

In the Epilogue (Saga of a Star World), there’s an appropriate door sound effect when the Cylons bring in Baltar, but the doors are silent when Lucifer enters.

Speaking of doors...
In "Greetings from Earth," right before Apollo comes into the life station for the "We're taking your patients" scene, you can hear the director (or someone) say "Door!" as a cue to the person operating the sliding door. This cue had to be given every time someone came through a door, but it's the only time I know of that it managed to sneak into the final sound mix.

Well, now I have to go listen for it. So cool you noticed!

And that's not the only time we hear the director in "Greetings from Earth." When Boxey and Athena start following Apollo down the corridor, you can hear him cue the actors to start walking: "Noah, Maren."

In “The Long Patrol,” after Starbuck gives away his collar pins to Cassiopeia and Athena, he’s still wearing both of them.
