Colored Cylon (gold, bronze) didn't show up till well into the series. Adding a color was an after thought on how to give the guys some ranking when they discarded the insignia on the armor.

Yep. True dat. And they only did Chrome and Gold... they only produced two toys (Chrome and Gold) - if they had a Bronze they would have had a toy - to sell more toys. Bronze is only a production issue/prop mess up/time taking its toll.

Thanks folks, chrome for my first! And I'll gold plate my second.
