After surfing through the net, I've stumbled upon this very interesting thread in another forum.

A very sharp-eyed member indentified the interior of the Cylon Basestar used for the episode "The Hand of God" to be the NASA Skylab 1G Trailer.

I doubt that was anything to do with NASA, except the set builders used NASA photos to help build that set piece. That set piece really looks bad if you study some of the details. I bet some the most expensive stuff in the take was the ladder, and the tube we can't see because of all the junk screwed into the wall. Nice catch on the guy that posted the photos, but sorry no go, just a wanna be Hollywood prop. Thanks for sharing the link.

I believe the set originates from the Six Million Dollar Man two-part ep "The Dark Side Of The Moon" from the 77-78 (last) season.
