Turbocycle from Galactica 1980 (yes, GALACTICA 1980!)

Post by Mark B. » Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:53 am

Thought I'd share my latest venture into BSG modeling-

This one has been a long time coming (getting started anyway). Still a lot of refinements to go, but it's finally starting to look like it suppose to, so time to share some pics!

VERY big thanks to OTIST at Resin Illuminati for help with photo reference many moons ago...

More to come as I get time...

Hey Mark, welcome on board. That is looking awesome. Were you able to find the same toy source bike frame, and use it for the build. Also I thought we talked about building a life sized on a Yamaha frame. I guess a 1st good step is have a study model. Looks great, and can't wait to see the finished painted up project.

Mark B. - welcome! Post often and enjoy the site.

LOVE the cycle build... what scale is that? There isn't anything that I can figure "size" on in the photo.

Looking forward to MORE photos. :)

If I recall a off the shelf Ken Barbie type doll was used, so figure that scale about 1/10 of full scale, or round about, but I am sure Mark has the exact details.

I was curious about the scale too. 1:10 seems about right.

Acually it was one of the Mego Starsky and Hutch figures, the blonde David Soul character one.
