I have a helmet made already, but I am not sure how to do the chest

I haven't seen anyone build a cardboard Cylon before that wasn't meant as a joke. Can I see what you have so far?

About that, I can't figure out how to make the file size of my photos small enough 
. It has stiff angles and an orange marble for the eye (I made an interesting contraption for it, the helmet tilts then the eye moves). It basically looks like a Japanese comic book cylon might.

After seeing the Halo helmet I see what you mean. Very interesting to say the least. I thought it would have a bit more detail to it. I have seen other projects with more detail in the past. Have you tried the Bazooka Jo method? His is paper, but maybe you can get the cardboard to work.

bazooka joe's files are excellent, I just finished the chestpiece last night.
I attempted to use fiberboard a couple years ago to make some jango fett armor. the results were not as good as I would have hoped. Fibreboard tends to not absorb resin, and "fuzzes" up when sanded. :frak: If you are going to be applying resin/fiberglass I would advise you to stick with cardstock.

I think I will stick to cardboard because fiberglass/resin is a little...dangerous 
. Also, I think I can work the cardboard into the right shapes from the files.

small? post a picture if you can. I would like to see how those templates fit. it is a somewhat small pack in reality

It seemed small to me to, but after looking at some reference pictures I think its fine. If I'm not mistake Bazooka Joe made the pdf's with a default paper size of A4. If you are printing to Letter sized paper, Adobe reader may try to rescale the image to fit. In which case it may shrink resulting printout. There is sufficient margins to tell adobe or foxit to not shrink to fit and you will not lose any of the objects.
Hand Schaub, I have a finished backpack done from Bazooka Joe's files, can you measure a couple of the sides on one of your pieces and I will do the same.
