OK this is vintage at its best... This is a copy of the old Battlestar One fan club from June 1980. This newsletter was the last release before Universal made them the OFFICIAL Battlestar Galactica fan club. It really never changed much after that in appearance, or content. They did last about 2-3 more years after that before they closed up shop. I don't recall if they made it past one year as the OFFICIAL BSG fan club. This was farmed out after Glen threw in the towel of launching his official fan club.

That's a great find.

I wonder if Jim Betteridge is the one I know of through his other online name.

I belonged to the Thirteenth Tribe, which was a UK club, that one lasted quite a while too. (20 years according to the Lurex Lounge website).

I have talked with Jim a few years ago. I have no idea if he was part of the 13th Tripe, but he did work with Richard Hatch on the 2nd Coming.

He wasn't part of the Thirteenth Tribe, I just saw his name in the pages you posted.

He also worked on the mini-series and I think he's done some acting. i think he was in an episode of the 90s Dark Shadows revival.

He told a great story about the execs going to the soundstage to see what state the bridge was in for use in G80, only to find to their horror that it had all been reduced to matchwood!

He also saw them filming the Buck Rogers pilot and said Gil Gerard was a nice guy.
