Hi all. My name is Jeff. I just ordered 2 Cylons. 1 to display and 1 from CORA (Jim) to build. I am wondering if you can help me. I am looking for some parts for my build. I have contacted G&M about a belt but no reply. I have dredged the internet and found nothing. I am looking for a screen accurate G&M power belt and a pair of screen accurate Cooper gloves. Ebay has some gloves but they don't look correct. Anyone looking to sell or any help tracking these down would be greatly appreciated. I Did find some boots that are identical to the Georgia boots on amazon, very happy about that thanks for the help in advance.

Hey Jeff welcome on board. The G&M battery belt is one of the hardest items to find, and I have seen them go as much as $350, and as little as $75. G&M is long gone out of business, but the original owner Gideon is still around, but just doesn't follow though of his work. I tried to order 10 belts a few years ago, and a few emails exchanges after that, and noting. Passing the blame off to his suppliers.
As for the gloves I have about 5 pair around someplace, but I can tell you they aren't easy to find since 90% of my stuff is packed away. My BSG related stuff that is. Don't fear they pop up now and then on eBay. About 1-2 times a month.
Welcome to the club.

jclayman99, welcome! Glad you've joined - looking forward to seeing your builds. Will one Centurion be Chrome and one Gold? I've also emailed G&M Power... we'll see if they want to reply to Cylon-Knight

One is a Krop Cylon, Not screen accurate, but good for display. the other is From CORA for Screen accuracy. they will both be Silver. I am also working with my brother in law who is an electrical engineer to see if we can crack this voice changer dilemma. He seems pretty confident that we can create an accurate voice in a streamlined package. If so, I will offer them up here first. We will aslo try to incorporate the Eye Warble. if you hear anything about the belts let me know. I may just go over to G&M at lunch and see if anyone is on the property.

I'd be interested in one voice changer as well...
I'm curious to see what you can come up with!

We started prototyping today. We will be including the Eye Warble as well as the voice changer. The eye warble will run continuously and not cut out when talking. This stage will take a while as My engineer is doing this in his free time. Any links on creating the original voice through the Vocoder would be helpful thanks.

You may try to PM groupleaderzeta ... I know that he's been working a bit on a new Vocorder too, and been in touch with some of the original builders of the VMS.

I stopped By G&M's address and it is just a house with a for sale sign on it. phone numbers go straight to Voice mail and the email gets no reply. I made about 100 calls this week around town and found an old distrubuter of G&M belts but he no longer has the parts. I did get some good info though. G&M became Victory belts, and is now Powerhouse. All 3 are now out of business. Sad times for all of us. I found a belt at an old studio rental house. I lucked out. I also got the name of the other half of G&M. G stands for Gidon Benokiva. M stands for Jerry Mizelli. Jerry became the sole owner when he bought out Gidion and re-named Victory battery. Victory battery was sold about 4 years ago. Anyway I guess we have to hunt for them from now on. all original sources are gone. good luck all.

Was it this address
G & M Power Products
912 S Glenoaks Blvd
Burbank, CA 91502
818-558-7444
Or
http://gmpowerproducts.com/
Well if they can't be found, I just need one to borrow so we can replicate and be done with this nonsense.

I have spoken with Gideon a few times via email and phone. He still has the original bucks that were used to form the belt boxes. Last time we spoke was 2 years ago has he replied back to a conversation when he was on a cruise ship. Looks like he folded up shop 100% now. I guess time to make a inside casting of the inside of the box sections.
There is also a plastic box inside each compartment.

Come to think of it I have a belt with the batteries removed but it still has the plastic inserts. I think I can remove one and make a buck out of it. The sticky part is forming the leather or using vinyl for the covering.
