Started on my LSU build. I figured this would be a easier one to start one since it will be painted. Work out all the bugs on this one then move on to a chrome one.

Already got that blue on I see.

Okay... Put some fiberglass on the inside for some strength. Was my first time messing with fiberglass and i made a mess of it. Good thing this is my practice LSU helmet. Tomorrow i will sand it down and clean it up a bit.

That means moar sanding.

So, roushinator... I was thinking about your LSU Centurion the other day.

Are you going to do a standard helmet? Or are you going to change things up some for the eye area?
I was just thinking, if you want to SEE the game... you may need to alter something - as you know sight from the helmet is VERY POOR.

This look something like what you were thinking?
My image isn't perfect, or real, but it gets the idea easier to picture.
And I thought the sail panel would look better FULL than just a small cat and LSU all shoe horned in, etc.

^Maybe make the face guard yellow? (But it looks like the LSU team helmets have black, so I dunno, left it black).
HA - what do I know? I am in Missouri and I don't even follow football. But I like Cylons and Photoshop.

Hummmm... and maybe for a cheap face guard that you could shape more to a Centurion face (around the "eye brow" area for example). You might use some plastic black wire conduit like on the back pack with heavy wire inside to keep it in shape?? Give you a more custom fitted look and the cool texture of the conduit would look "robotic" somewhat.

Wow..... That looks great!!

I might have to make 2 different models. Since Football season is almost over i was going to make this one to go to the basketball games (no face guard). But now i will have to make one with a grill for next season football.
