I posted the link over at the SSM forum and the MASTER Galactica Builders there flipped out and pretty much shut that guy down reporting the listing. 1st, the price was very low if it was a real 1:1 Galactica. 2nd, one of the build pics shown was of someone else's Pegasus (that is not for sale). It would be interesting to see what is actually being sold there. The buyer, if duped, will probably never come forward out of embarrasment if they're a member on the forums. I simply can't imagine it was real, if it was the seller wouldn't have needed to use stolen photos.

Yeah, there is something really fishy about that guy. He's also selling a kit apparently based on my Trek alternate universe Valkyrie design - something I made up back in the 80's - starting at $350!

I guess could make an argument to demand a cut, but something tells me I really don't want to get into business with this individual. Although I would like to see what one looks like in real life. Sadly, the lack of photos tells me to keep dreaming...

Also the posted photos changed. Maybe one of the build photos belonged to someone else and they called him on it.

The problem was there wasn't a physical model to photgraph. What you would be bidding on was a model that they would build for you.

The red flag was there price!
Unless they had purchased Custom Replicas molds from it's Galactica run there was no way they could even come close to the selling price given that the Sealab, Hummel, and D51-101 model kits would have cost over $1100. That leaves the other 100+ kits ( not counting duplicates) to buy.

Of all their auctions I only saw a 1/350 scale Enterprise B, and a Disney Sub get sold and a quick look at the feedback shows nothing from the buyers.

I wonder if he made molds of these pieces and was selling a resin replica skin job.
