Command Centurion sword blade color question

Now here's a question I had in mind for some time now: Does anyone here knows what exact color the blade of a Command Centurion sword had?

Even the standard chrome Centurions weren't famous for wielding their sword so often and I've never seen a Command Centurion dragging his sword during the whole run of the original series...

When thinking of prop manufacturing / costs, I rather think the gold sword wasn't meant to be drawn at all (like most other Centurion swords)... just a sword handle attached onto the sheath.

Any toughts or ideas?

Humm... One would think how all the chrome bits changed to gold for a Command Centurion sword that it would make sense for the blade to as well. Unless the prop guys were just lazy / cutting corners to save money and left the blade silver.

Without being on screen there is no canon. A stumper, indeed.

I would GUESS our best bet to establish a single, correct answer would be to ask Andrew Probert his thought on it. In the lack of screen execution, as the Centurion designer I think only his concepts would be able to set a true standard for the Cylon Empire ;) I could shoot him the question on Facebook if you'd like.

Correct that they used dummy swords that weren't able to be drawn. So what ever color you want to use to match the suit you have and then your dead on correct.
