My modded Krop

I was rained out from work for a few days came home and my parcel had arrived. I had issues with the toilet seat/backpack area so I decided to do something about it today. It's not perfect but the way they sit just doesn't sit right with me.

PS

I had to dress myself.

Still have work to do, special thanks to Cylon-Knight for the under suit.

Looks GREAT!
Glad the suit got to "Build It Forward" - to a happy new home with some SHINY new armor!
I know it wasn't perfect with the paint offsets... but nice to know it helped out.
:) :cylon:

...I love that last photo - THE ICONIC CENTURION!
Some don't like Krop all that much, but I have to say he does a great job and the eye LEDs are so nice and BRIGHT.

Thanks for the compliment. What exactly are the differences between Krop and the screen accurate and or other offerings out there?

Cheers

Oh wow... it would be best to just see them side by side and you'd know. Get yours and then look at the below.

Look at this page for some good fan made suits:
http://www.cylonempire.com/centurion.html

And here is screen used under suits:
http://www.byyourcommand.net/cylongalle ... ?album=301

I would call Krop a *"pleasing" under suit...
It has all the ear marks and to the typical person - "oh a cylon" reaction is 100% certain = A job well done.
But if you want to impress a hard core Centurion builder or 1:1 pure-ist, you have to go beyond Krop.

*Pleasing like green grass... not brown, or yellow... grass should be green.
BUT, then you have your OH WOW! - Golf Course grass. Yah, it is grass still - but it is that extra step "above" just pleasing due to care and attention to detail.

Oh yeah, I know the under suit leaves a lot to be desired  I was thinking more along the hard parts, besides the toilet and the boot cuffs.

Those are the two major items that need adjustment but the rest is fine. Looks great btw.

Oh ... oops. ;)

Yeah, GoldCylon is right - plus add the "stickers" too. They are not too 1978 1:1.

So can someone tell me how I can get this backpack to fit properly. The front part sticks out like crazy and looks awkward. I don't have the under suit on but it still looks the same with or without it. @Hammer3246 How did you modify your backpack so the front fits nicely as it does on your picture? It looks awesome the way you did the sides.

You need a complete other backpack. There is no modify if you will go screen accurate

Jenne's right.

The best would be to ask either Hand-Schaub or C.O.R.A. for a screen-accurate kit.

You also have to add some holding ribs to your chestplate.

I know mine isn't perfect, but it sure helped.

I cut the back of my toilet seat to the angle I liked and then mated it to the edge of backpack with some hot glue and reinforcements, with the leftover chrome, I filled in the sides and then covered the seams with the mylar that came with the armor.

I'm away from home right now so I can't show you any photos, hopefully you get what I'm trying to explain.

Cheers

Hammer3246: your backpack looks great! I would like some info on how it's done and pics if possible.:) How, what angle and what part of the toilet seat did you cut? How did you re-apply the parts you cut? I didn't see any extra mylar in my shipment. I'm not sure what you mean.

I'm away from home right now. When I get back I'll take some pictures and try to explain it better.
