Equellus = Equuleus?

It seems likely that the planet name Equellus in "The Lost Warrior" is an attempt at a more pronounceable version of Equuleus, the constellation whose name means "little horse." Does anyone know for certain if this was its inspiration?

After all, everyone and his brother was named after a constellation in that episode... Vela, Puppis, Bootes, Lacerta, even Lupus. And Puppis had that creepy growling-pony thing that was basically a little horse.

Just noticed on Wikipedia that Lacerta means "lizard." Well-named character.

Incongruously, though, it says the constellation Lacerta is sometimes called "little Cassiopeia." :?
