I'm new to constructing armor but not to sewing uniforms (TOS Star Trek and Space: 1999). Started working on a command centurion outfit constructed from eva foam. Planing to coat it in polyurethane before painting it "gold" with lots of battle damage. Then of course there's the body suit, gloves, and boots. Hope to be ready for Motor City Comic Con 2015.

Welcome on board. Sounds like a fun project and taking the Gold Cylon route makes it easier with a black under suit.

Do you have pics of your TOS Star Trek uniforms? They sound great.

My Space: 1999 build is on my blog.

I haven't blogged the TOS uniform yet. It's not complete yet. Here's a pic of the uniform tunic. I'm not entirely happy with it. The sleeves should be raglan and I want to replace the piping with something better. Otherwise, it went together well.
