Slowly getting done. Only a few months left. Next trying to figure out how to place the Larson scanner. Unfortunately the kids will need to see through the same location as the scanner

Nice build!
I'm having to figure out the same problem. If I could afford it I'd use a glasses mounted screen and external camera, but that's outside my budget.
I'm thinking of using optical fibers and baffles to position the scanner away from the eye slit to minimize blocking the view. I'll probably make the slit larger and add a layer of black tinted plastic to hide the view in.

Finally finished installing scanners into helmets. Visibility is great as I installed to the top side if visor and rewired the lights so all the electronics are hidden into the space along the top of helmet.
