I was watching the Lost In Space third season episode titled "Condemned of Space" and I spotted the same sword that the Cylon Centurions carried on Battlestar Galactica. One of the frozen prison inmates was holding the sword when Dr. Smith bumped in to him. The episode was from 1967, so I guess the sword has been around for quite a while. That is very cool, but it is a common design I think. I have seen other swords before with some what of a lack luster copy/look of the Cylon sword. Two details that I see right off that tell me it is off a bit. The length of the blade, (longer) and the end cap are different. The style is close, but over all a very cool find. Sharp eye to catch that is such a short 3-8 second video clip. Great job.

Great to know this prop existed far before the original BSG show anyway...

I have a little problem with my sword at the moment... the blade is stuck in the sheath and so I have to try to remove it without damaging the sheath...

Here are some screen captures from the Battlestar Galactica episode "Saga of a Star World" which shows the Cylon Centurion sword just before Baltar gets decapitated...

The first two photos of the close up of the sword is my sword, and the second with the blade approaching Baltar's neck is now broken. I have the only HERO sword left of the two that were made for those shots.
