My armor is supposed to be on its way (fingers crossed).....and I was wondering if anyone has done a pictorial on how and wear to place the straps on your cylon armor? Did you use velcro, elastic straps....or black web belts with buckles? Thanks in advance!

Congrats with the arrival of your amour. I'll tell you a bit about my suit, even though I have built before, the screen used is a much better build than the way I didn't my Cylon replica suit. The wrist pieces are hinged together on the inside with a canvas like material, and glue. It won't wear out and has a very large cover area of glue. Then the clam side that opens is a Velcro type of seam closing, and then the chrome tape is used to help hide the seam. The same method is used on the upper arm section, and the lower leg section (ankle) I think the rest of your suit (fibber glass) will be solid, and won't need seamed pieces.

The armor is still not here.....but I am still wondering if someone has a guide or pictures on where to place straps, velcro and anything else to make the armor fit.

I think my photo gallery should have the correct photos you need. The Cylon assembly is really very easy, just putting it all on a person, or mannequin is the trick. Just work it one piece at a time, and it will all come together. For best results having someone help you would be best. 100% positive if you plan of wearing your Cylon armor you will need help. This photo shows the inside fabric glued in one side as a hinge, and the outside piece has the chrome tape covering the seam.

....and a question......are the holes that are located above the brow used as a way of looking out?

This a pic from the By Your Command gallery.

Yes those holes above the eye brow are the ones you use to view from when your wearing the helmet. Most kits don't come with the holes pre drilled, because they are sure if your going to wear it, or display it. Nice looking fiber glass helmet.

Hey C1-978!

Do you get your armor from Bentley O'Toole in Australia?

I've got my armor from this guy as well...

Actually...that is a 1889 U.S. Campaign hat. You can also see a 1880's U.S. Kepi in a small display case. As for the script....it is "The Eye" with Jessica Alba. It is the production I just got done with. As for the 4th Indiana Jone's installment.....I did not get on it :( The production brought their own crew out here. It looks like I may be on a Kevin Costner production though.....

Thanks RedEye!

Ok....here is a painting question. Is the mouth piece painted a gray or is it painted black?

This mouth piece looks black

While this one looks gray......possibly washed out from the flash?
