my cylon rifle build

Hi all,
I thought I'd post up a couple of pics of my rifle build.
I started with some pine planks and cut out the pieces according to the measurements supplied by Jenne. Glued and screwed:

The barrel is made from PVC pipe cut in half lenghways and some 2mm styrene sheet. There is wood inside it to keep it nice and strong. The clear sheet is from a box that some kitchen appliances came in, I knew that box would come in handy sooner or later!!

Then I came across this pic in the photos section of this site, and realised I was a little off in my accuracy of the barrel....hmmmm...this one looks soooo much better than mine.....hmmm, might have to find a clear tube instead.....

so a little surgery was called for and this is where it sits as of this moment.....

Made the nozzle and bayonet from perspex sheeting found in a local plastic manufacturers scrap bin. The bayonet is a little longer as it will be pushed into a slot:

And I just ordered the side detail panels from CORA.
More updates as they happen.
cheers
