What storylines would you like to have seen if the 1978 series had had more episodes? Here's a suggestion:
The Cylons hack Muffit's programming and turn him into a saboteur.

The return of Count Iblis as played by Patrick MacNee in the second season! The Cylons catch up with the Galactica in a few episodes but Adama learns of another more alien threat to their voyage as well!

It would be nice to have seen more of the Borellian Nomen. What happened to those three, anyway? Did they end up going to Lunar Seven on the Eastern Alliance destroyer? That would have made for a weird story.

The Borellian Nomen were initially welcomed by the forces of the Eastern Alliance but after they failed to help defeat the Nationalists with their superior technology they were probably executed as inferior aliens! If the Nationalists and the Alliance had ever have talked a lasting peace on Terra then what use would the Borellians have been to the Supreme commandant?

Starbuck marries Cassiopeia, Athena marries another woman and Apollo and Sheba get hitched. Caine turns up having survived and a return engagement from Iblis. Also, Baltar and Lucifer are back.

I always wondered why Kiribdis wasn't in Baltar's Escape? Or wasn't Lyman Ward available does anyone know?

No reason for him to be. Baltar wouldn't have been inclined to include him in the escape after Karibdis had plotted to kill him.

Certainly more time spent on Cylon socity and the Imperious Leader rise and fall, that is a good idea, yes.
Or time on the other ships, Argo or Prison ship. Have some mystery going on there to solve - only the Galactica crew can sort it out! Of course

Another episode with the Cylons encountering the Seraphs would have been interesting. Plus Baltar's final fate left alone on an uninhabited planet in his shuttle for protection and did the Cylons led by Lucifer ever pick him up or maybe they found and killed him as to their orders from another new Imperious Leader, whom had decided like the first one to totally destroy the remnants of humanity. The Leader as seen in Galactica 80 had that exact thought when sending out his minions to destroy the Aggro ships in The Space Croppers!
