You have to see this. I asked Etsy shop owner GalacticCostume (Stephane Dorion) if they could make me some Commander Cain cuffs to slip over the cuffs on my Blue Squadron tan tunic, and what he sent was light years more elegant and clever than anything I was imagining when I made the request. I had envisioned tan sleeve tips 6-8" long that safety-pin over my existing sleeve tips like socks or something equally absurd.

Look what arrived. It's brilliant! Once in place it doesn't even slide or move around.

I unsnap the existing cuffs and snap this right on, wrap it around and it snaps right in place. It's so cleverly designed that I'm amazed I was able to figure it out so quickly! I paid $125 CAD for them and I think they're worth every penny.

It's a shame there's only one of this guy. I've got him booked up until March, maybe April, working on my Legendary Cain jacket and a battle suit jacket to replace my Anovos. Nothing wrong with the Anovos. It's not exact but it's pretty close to the real thing in most respects, at least in terms of looking the part from 6 feet away. But I figured if I was lucky enough to get Stephane to make me one to match the tans they already made for me, it would be a more complete and accurate costume overall.

I thought I'd toss up a glimpse of the Cain jacket, as it has arrived. It's a little lighter in color than I was ready for but I really can't complain. GalacticCostume does good work.

Something I never realized about this jacket, because the Anovos doesn't respect it (they put in a zipper), the original jackets don't have any sort of cuff fastener, they just hang open so you can see the cuffs of the tans I guess.

And of course I have two versions of Bishop's beautiful Legendary Swagger Stick. My go-to joke is that the Cylons won't be expecting a second one of those. Once he gets a chance to cast me a DSM I'll be putting it to those galmonging tin-headed.. wonderful Cylon people who we all appreciate very much indeed.
