Yes, he's right about that.
But the battery cells on that belt are far too high, unless you cut them in the middle or something.
Then the next problem will be if your belt boxes still fit over the cells...

As long as you keep the belt in a circular shape the Cine 60 will work great, just get an extra battery belt box cover and no one will ever be able to tell unless they owned a Cylon before.

I am not sure what Krop did but a simple thick black belt with wooden blocks or even foam blocks would work glued, screwed, or attached in some method would work. Just many are trying to complete 100% accurate as possible.

Yep that is the goal... like the armor and under suits that are hand crafted (since there is only so much original armor and under suits, etc.). One day it may be needed to re-create a near identical (i.e. not what Krop offers) belt... the originals will one day be all owned, gone/degraded... etc.
Classic BSG will hit the big "FOUR O" soon and if your belt is old-n-crusty, well, your Cylon pants may fall down!
With all the talent here at BYC.net I'm sure an "okay" copy of the original belt could be constructed. Still nothing is a cool as REAL parts, true dat!

I have looked and looked for an original and will probably keep looking too. If I cant find one I will make a belt using blocks or foam as Dale suggested and was thinking about covering them with some PVC or similar material (using a hot gun to form the PVC into the correct shape) so it looks as close to the original as possible. Without the $400 price tag. Also the gloves, I've been looking on the bay for ages. Hell we don't even have Ice Hockey in the UK. Until I cant find a suitable pair of gloves I will have to make do with an alternative.
The undersuit. Well I'm trying to make something in another thread. Currently I'm trying to source the material and vinyl. Will update you when I can..
