eFX was able to scan Starbucks and Apollo's Viper helmets to reproduce.

VERY NICE! But it did not seem to have the lights at all. Also, they scanned the Starbuck Hero - BUT - they altered it digitally to make both sides identical. While that is "better" it is totally not "original" anymore.

I was glad to see thier prices though - I was thinking they would be SUPER high but they had really good prices and it looks like great work!

Has anyone ordered from them before?

Great! Thanks for the link, Dale!

Any informations if they going to make the Cylon helmet as well?

Although scans from screen used originals, yes they have been touched up in a trued out fashion. I am sure that was part of the request of both original helmet users in order to have access for scanning. I haven't bought any of their work (products) before, but have heard good clean stuff, and yes you pay the price for it. As for the Cylon helmet no work about their work being offered, but someone did offer a soon to come helmet at a trade show a year ago. Not sure who had it, or who offered it, but I don't think it ever flew.

Nevertheless, thank you for the update that at least the Viper helmet will become reality.

These look promising, as wearable ones. I only have a KS Cylon helm, but have been a Stormtrooper collector for 20 years, and the Efx trooper is not good at all due to their laser-scanning/manipulating, making it symetrical, etc. Bottom line, regarding Cylons, get a cast of a real one like most of you already have, and it will better looking all around than any digital scan produced one.

I have an unfinished casting of a screen-used helmet. I should pull it out and take a look at it again...

Has anyone done a side by side comparison of the screen used and the eFX version? Maybe someone can just answer a question that's been kinda bugging me after I received my Viper Helmet. Is the eFX Viper Helmet in scale with the originals? It seems on the small side to me.

It seems that no one has really "nit-picked" the eFX Viper Helmet which is what were all here for right?
