Very cool... I can't remember him from the show? I am guessing he was a background Warrior?

He is in the officers club a lot playing Pyramids with the guys. Then Glen Larson used him in Magnum P.I.

I hated magnum PI but loved the 308 any seen "The Hidden"

Larry was known as Lt. Giles in BSG.
