Hey Reaper,

Being an old hand from the EXCALIBUR I thought you might like to see this pic of the old "Tri-Star".

Why the blue markings? Is color Battlestar specific? Didn't seem so in TOS. The Galactica and Pegasus ships all had red markings. Symbols were different, etc. but the "trim" was all in red.

An Extended Universe item?

Very nice work, but there are differences between this ship and the Victory Class.

The Vicotry Class' Lower bay was detachable, and could operate as a seperate craft. It was also longer by a third then a "Galactica" class Battlestar.

As for the markings, It is true that all the Battlestars we see in the show (mainly the Galactica, Pegasus and Atlantia) all had Red trim, but it is possible other Battlestars had different colors. I think everythign having red might have been cause it was cheaper to change the name sign and a few greeblies by the name on the same model then to redo the trim for ships that weren't going to be recurring. Blue would also have been out due to the Use of Blue Screen filming.

The same can be said for the Vipers. Blue Squadron should have had blue tint on the viper, not Red, but then that would have screwed with fliming the minis. This is why Luke Skywalker, Who flew with Blue Squadron in the Novelization of Star Wars Flew with Blue Squadron and the YWings were Red Squadron, but in the movie, Blue became Red and Red became Gold. Even R2D2 was painted black, not blue for the space scenes.

I've begun building a decent Miniature gaming Fleet of Battlestars and support ships (as well as Cylons lol) and I've used other colors to detail the ships.

MNy take on things.
