Eye scanner contest $50 or less
Glad the helmet showed up. Keeps us in the loop on the build and take some photos showing us how you insert the eye scanner. Maybe a small video demo of the install.

Hello everyone,
How tall is the eye slot, I am seeing pics with like 1/8 to 1/4 inch.

I'm not EXACTLY sure about the original slot - GoldCylon may have better access to verify to-a-T what the real measurement is. Basically anything that will let the LEDs/Bulbs only show is probably close enough.groupleaderzeta wrote:Hello everyone,

Oh, you may PM CORA too - he may know of/have the original specs.
Anyone else have an idea

I am not able to get anything into the slot to measure it, but the 1/4 inch gap sounds about right

Can you tuck a piece of paper on top of the slot, make some marks on the paper then measure that.GoldCylon wrote:I am not able to get anything into the slot to measure it, but the 1/4 inch gap sounds about right

Hello everyone,
Do we have a stickies section for tutorials? If not it would be a good addition.
I will be starting my cylon helm next week and working on a tutorial on the scanner.

Your friendly neighborhood administrator-genocidal-robot-from-space, Cylon-Knight will create a section. Great idea!

UPDATE:
I think it will be best to make stickies topics in the Cylon Builder's Forum... then everything is right there in one spot for builders. I'll post up one, and start the scanner one for you zeta.
