Pepakura Parts

Post by Professor Kaos » Fri Feb 04, 2011 3:38 pm

I completed construction of the bazooka jo cylon parts contained here http://www.bazookajo.me.uk/PaperModels/Cylon/Cylon.htmwhich include the helmet, backback and chestplate. My complements on the work. Relatively simple to build and as the movie clip shows, quite excellent final product. (at least it will be after I bond up a few of my boo boos) :frak:

All of the other pieces (save one) I was able to find at the Zealot hobby forum http://www.zealot.com/forum/downloads.php
No offense to the creators but there are some design issues with these files.

The shoulders are a single quarter sphere. Its a great starting point but the shape is not screen accurate. I'll post pics of how I modified them to correct that. When my stupid blackberry storm cooperates. <Its definitely not cylon tech.

The upper arm bands appear to have a bit of a wavy shape to them. The screen accurate bands appear to be simple cylinders that are wider in one axis.

There are some issues with the other ones but before I go about modifying them, if anyone has a pepakura file of the screen accurate parts, feel free to chime in.

And to date I have not found any file for the shins.

Sounds great, and I can't wait to see the photos.
