Re: Colonial Fighters Collection
Looks great. So that 6ft height is with out the landing gear down I take it. Is that a standard way to measure aircraft height?

Limerickcot came up with the dimensions - I just based some of my stuff off his work. The 6 foot height does seem a "little" small to me now that you mention it. He must have worked out the measurement in the inflight configuration with the gear up.GoldCylon wrote:Looks great. So that 6ft height is with out the landing gear down I take it. Am not 100% sure but I think in the "Real-World" the "Official" stats for them are measured with the gear down.

Re: Colonial Fighters Collection
If it is with gear down that does seem a bit short. I would have thought at least 7 or maybe even 8 feet tall. I am 6'4, and no way that I am taller than a Viper, but I just don't recall anyone standing near same the rear engine exhaust port to have a clear idea how tall that puppy is.

Re: Colonial Fighters Collection
These are the "Official" stats for the VIPER MK.II (BSG2)
LENGTH: 8.4082 meters (27 feet, 7 inches)
WINGSPAN: 4.7168 meters (15 feet, 6 inches)
HEIGHT: 2.7247 m (in flight) (9 feet)
(Landing gear down adds approximately 0.5m.) (10 feet, 8 inches)
SO...I figure the Viper from TOS BSG series would be a couple feet taller as it had a much larger tail fin than the BSG2 Viper has.

Re: Colonial Fighters Collection
Now that is what I am talking about. That seems more of a dead on realistic group of numbers. Thanks for supplying the numbers. Now can you build me a Viper.....
