It does say that he now has a 2 peice under suit to deal with the nature problems and his he removed the light bulb scanner and the helmet was retro fitted with a LED scanner to reduce the helmet heat.

Is this guy still alive? and did you read about the "Gold Tone Bronze Chromed part?

and in the section on the cylon higherarchey he seems to speak of darker colored "Gold" Cylons with black bands to id their rank?

Maybe this is where the Bronze comes from that's why I shared it. :byyourcommand:

One thing I noticed you said Cylon actor. I don't ever recall reading that on his site before, but then it has been a long time since I have read his page. I think preforming while in an original series costume might be the confusion. I don't think he was a actor in the show. Besides a looks bit short to be a Cylon. I think he is giving his insight of what he has heard, or read over the years, and not 1st hand account. I would have to say yes he is still alive, well at least someone is paying the URL fees to keep the site up and running.

That Hierarchy isn't based on the show - totally.
It has lot of extended universe items in it.

I just thought this might shed a little light as to the Bronze debate.

These three statements in particular

"All but one or two were silver-chrome vacuum-plated. A couple were Gold toned bronze plated. The Gold Cylons represented the two-brain "C2" Officer Class and were first seen in the sixth and seventh 1978"

"Oberon's costume is one of only about a dozen made (4 gold, 8 silver) and most of those have been mounted on mannequins; leaving only a few Cylons still roaming the Galaxy."

"EC" WARRIORS OF THE ELITE CLASS: "C2" Command Centurions who were Executive Officers to the Imperious Leader. They had gold armor with black bands to indicate their rank. Vulpa was of the "EC" Class. He was banned by the Imperious Leader to the ice planet Arcta for opposing the Leader's views. He was later killed when the "Ravashal Pulsar Gun" on the Planet "Arcta" was destroyed by a small band of human Colonials in the episode "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero".

This is about the best evidence I could find that a bronze actualy did exsist as he does mention it in his recollection.

Maybe there were plans for the use of a bronze and the introduction of more of the cylon higherarchy but they never made it to that stage of the show before it was canceled and the bronze was never used or breifly used in the castle scene in "The Young Lords"

Ya know ...Up close, Gold is Gold and Bronze is Bronze ...why would Metz mention a Gold tone Bronze? and it sounds like they made 12 special suites for "Oberon" (4 Gold and 8 Silver) If Olberon was a C1 promoted to a C2 then silver to gold would be appropriate and maybe the "Gold Tone Bronze Chrome" was a way of distinguishing the difference between Olberon and Vulpa as Vulpa was EC and definatly Gold?

When he say's (4 gold and 8 Silver) maybe he is refering to the Gold tone bronze he mentions earlier in the page? :wtf:

Just speculating on my part though

If I find more I'll post it

Ya know what ...Once again Dale I think your right!........I went back and read it a little slower and he never did mention that ....the way I read it the first time..(Quick read and heading out the door) It apeared to me as if he was one of the cylon actors

I stand corrected! :salute: That would account for the discrepency in the math ...35 suits and only a couple of Gold tone Bronze chromed and then "Olberon" (4 Gold and 8 Silver)???????????

I dunno I just thought I was on to something when I read about the Bronze. :erk:

I should just leave this subject to the real experts! :cylon: :cylongold: :cylon: :cylongold: :cylon: :cylongold: :cylon: :cylongold:

I'm just an amature at this stuff! more like a CO model LOL

Questions, and input is always welcome. This is THE only true source of Cylon material, so it is good to have that on here so those seeking answers can read about here. No rookies, just those haven't been informed completely.

Yeah one of my comments ealier was this suit looked like some type of hybrid of a Krop if not a early Krop suit. The under suit looks like the original Krop suits. They had that olive drab look to them.

Hmm, good point about the height. I could see where he'd be pretty old now, and I do know that you shrink a little with age, but maybe not that much!

I'm positive that's a Kropserkel costume indeed.

The things looked like that when they started to sell them in the early 2000's if I recall correctly...

Yeah, the pic at the top of the page before this is clearly a Krop suit. The gloves are the best clue. Also the stomach are of the under suit has next to no ribbing... not original.

Yes it is a krop suit for sure. You can tell by the flared sides on the top of the backpack
If "they" say it can't be done, it just means "they" cant do it.
