Rare BSG Chris Scaff Artwork from Realm Press Cylons !!

Post by goldcylon1 » Sun Jun 08, 2008 12:03 am

Many years ago Chis Scalf parted with some of his original artwork after Realm Press Comic books went under. I just realized that was 10 years ago!! His artwork was simply outstanding and some of the best hand painted BSG artwork I had seen in a comic book to date. He was a really nice guy and I was sorry to see his comic book come to and end. I am about to get some things framed finally!! Anyway enjoy a little bit of TOS BSG history! GC1

My first Piece is a Sheba themed orginal art sketch that would later become a Artifex Artist Card # S5 in the Rittenhouse Colonal Warriors set. That was done 2 years or so after I bought the art work. Ok Well Enjoy

The original Ad that started the Realm press run. This was seen in other comic books and even the email order sheets used by Realm Press

Chris is still selling these now and then. He had two for sale at this years motor city comic con. I have a few myself and when I can dig them out I will post those to. I got to much stuff and no room for it.

I can believe it. According to Chris he had these stacked to the ceilings in his garage as everypage was a painted piece of art. I hope he releases more. I tried to get a lot of the artwork with cylons as a theme at the time this is what he had. Please post Id love to see what you have I have been looking for the back cover of comic #1 which is heavy cylon themed. I tried to get him to recreate it but he didnt have the time. Daryll
