New Toaster in the Ranks!

Post by TK6598 » Sun Jul 12, 2009 5:47 am

Got here at last!

Howdy folks!!Just a wee introduction.

My name is Iain and I hail from the bonny land (not so bonny just now cause it's p***ing it down) of Scotland!Have been waiting to get full clearance to this site for a wee while now but my access came through this morning and so here I am,
I'm a member of the 501st(UK.Garrison) and am the proud owner of a SDS suit of stormtrooper armour but when I got the chance to get a Cylon there was no stopping me even if my bank balance took a battering.
I've actually been trooping as the Cylon only once since I got it and it got a fantastic response at a charity event for sick kids(actually the kids for the most part had'nt a scooby what a Cylon was but a lot of the parents went nuts!!!).
Have got a nice 2 day event coming up in Glasgow at the end of next month called Collectormania which is the biggest sci-fi event in Scotland these days and I can't wait to go Cylon at that one.

Anyhoo!I've waffled on long enough so I'll finish off by saying :- I look forward to being on these forums and having a blast with you guys!!!

Iain.

Daft question guys but how do you post pics up on this site????

Been trying for ages but all I get when I try to submit them is a load of lines of code??

I've got a photobucket account and I've tried everything I can think of to get a few pictures posted.
Any advice/hints will be appreciated.

Iain, welcome! Post often and enjoy the site.

For images, this forum can't host them (yet) so you'll need a place like photobucket - great start - you are half way done.

Just view the image in photobucket, copy its URL then in your postings here wrap the url with img tags like so:

[img]past%20the%20image's%20url%20here[/img]
"All Baseships are now in range to attack the Colonies."

Welcome on board Iain. Glad you were able to stick out the delay on signing up, and sorry about the delay of letting you in. I can't wait to see your event with the Cylon and other creatures of habit.
