I will try and get some recordings as soon as possible. :)

I need to start thinking of where to mount the electronics in the costume. I have two On-Tour speakers that I normally use hidden under the robes of my Vader costume. They provide alot of volume, so Im thinking of using a similiar set-up for the Cylon. I just cant decide the best place to mount the speakers.

Im finishing up my backpack this weekend and starting work on a new grill for the helmet. The plastic one that came with the helmet I just dont like. Not enough detail, so Im going to build one out of aluminum strips and mount it to the helm.

Progress continues....

Regards,
Chris

Here is the aluminum grill I made today. It's made from 1/16th thick aluminum spaced about 1/2 inch apart. Its held together by pop-rivets so its definately not coming apart.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, Im going to paint it the same color as the back areas on my helmet, a dark gray.

Im planning on mounting it so that it can be removed easily if necessary.

Chris

Thanks for the tip. I have some gunmetal paint I use for my Vader armor. I will give that a try and see how it looks.

I have finished assembling and painting all the armor pieces. :)

I have painted and installed my metal mouth grill for the helmet as well.

Now I can start on the body suit.

Here are some pictures:

Any update on the voice changer? How is that working?

Also - I didn't see an answer to a question I had before - what type of filler did you use on your parts?

Hello,

I havent had a chance to record the voice synthesizer yet, but I promise to try and get that done as soon as possible.

I used glazing putty (I think thats what its called). Basically, its premixed Bondo in a tube. It works great for small area you need to smooth out, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger areas. Thankfully, I only had to touch up small seems and holes.

Regards,
Chris
