Hello All

Post by redeye » Thu Jun 22, 2006 10:09 pm

Hi to you all who are big fans of BG. I stumbled on this site accidently through "chromefx" Dale I believe. He just registered on RPF and had his website there. And that's how I got lead to here. I know that there are a ton of Star Wars, Star Trek sites... but very few Battlestar Galactica websites. This is awesome! I'm a big fan of all 3 series plus other sci-fi as well.

What to say... I love Cylons. I just wish there was a group of us here in Alberta, Canada. So far... I'm the only one here in Alberta that I know of. I've ordered my Cylon costume from Kropserkel. I know its not 100% accurate but am quite happy just having one. Perhaps many moons down the road I will own a more accurate one. Here's some pics of me in my Cylon costume.

I'm a member of the 501st. We have a garrison here in Alberta. Here is our website www.badlands.ca If you go to gallery and look at TK5021.. you will see my collection and other stuff.

I would really love to start up a Cylon Garrison like the 501st... but I don't think its realistic. There isn't as many fans of this show compared to Star Wars

I love this website. It brings out my inner childhood. Those many years ago when I watched the original BG when I was 11 and wanting to be a Cylon. My other passion was to be a Stormtrooper. Dave :D

Hey Dave
Welcome on board. That is a great suit you have, and glad you found us here in this small little corner of the web. I hope you take a look around, days worth of photo's to look at, month of uploading everyday.
Right now I am trying to close up some chrome work I have going on, and I need to track down the work on the under suits so I can get those shipped out to the buys.
Great to have you here, and a fan of the show also.
Dale

Thanks guys for the hello. That picture there is about 2 yrs old now. I got spats for the thigh and arm plus a sword ..all at KS... to make it look a bit more realistic. Might be interested in the metallic skirt. I guess it depends on the price :D

I sold my last 1:1 skirt, but 80'sKid placed an order. He should be receiving the order very soon. I am not sure what price he is selling them for.

Hi Patrick,

Not too many experiences wearing the Cylon costumes. I've only worn it 3 times.

1st time I wore it when I got and walked to the convenience store. Got some strange looks.
2nd and 3rd time I wore it events. One was easy lots of space to walk around in. The other was a toy show...very crowded. I kept bumping into people and tables.. couldn't see a thing. I got a friend to escort me... she was holding my hand so that I wouldn't bump into people or tables  :D

Hi all and welcome to the forum "Redeye". Once we get those metal skirts in-stock we plan to sell them for $205 shipped in the USA. I think we can do the same for shipping to CANADA. FYI we will ship the item via Global Priority Mail. Again we are not taking any payments yet UNTIL these skirt have been verfied and in our hands. We expect to see our order sometime in early to mid July 2006. Lastly Dale can help all of us on "How or what to add type of clips to use on the metal skirts and the attaching point?" Will this clip to the belt as we assumed it attaches to the undersuit rear back torso region? HELP!

NOTE: We will not re-order again due to the eagle eye the wife gave me. She is a tad pissed off at me for spending so much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. This is the synergistic effect of collecting fracking everything e.g. screen used props and wardrobe, vintage movie posters and more

As for the clips on the skirt, they look like some type of curtian clip, but I know it isn't. It might still be made, I should take the skirt to the seemstress on Saturday, and ask her.
