Dutch Cylon helmet build

Hey guys,

I finished my helmet.
Yesterday I got it back from the chrome painting and immediately started
to finish it.. here's the result of my centurion helmet..

As you can see I've added the garrison slit in stead of the pepper and salt shakers.
Currently I'm looking at mirrored window foil to see if it is possible to hide the slit while still seeing.
The visibility is great now.

I also have the voice changer app on my iphone but still struggling to get it to work the way I want.
I'll upload a video if this is done.

And I'm trying to find someone to help me with the undersuit..maybe my sister will help.
This will probably take a little longer than my helmet, but I'll keep you all updated as things are happening.

As you can see.. I'm still very busy even though I finished my build.

The original lens is not very good, not the right radius and it's not diffused.
I had to cut off all the LEDs and re-solder them with wires, a lot of work but worth the money I saved

It's chrome paint.

I don't know the name of the system they are using, but it's a water based process.
And it's cheaper than letting it be chromed for real. (here in Holland)

Great build. Nice to see a different chrome method. I may go with the slit as well or I may prop the helmet higher on my head and make salt and pepper holes in the upper part of the grill.

The helmet looks great, and to help hide the slit in the eyebrow area us a Mylar material. Like the from a balloon. Actually a balloon would be perfect. Slice off a piece from a balloon, and tack it on, and see how that works out.
