My first

I ordered the vacuum formed helmet parts from Starbuck.
The Hyperdynelabs scanner is WAY to expensive ($205,- are you kidding?)
so I bought a $40,- one online...and everything came in the mail today..OMG I was so excited! Felt like christmas!
First thing to do is start cutting away.
Where the frack did I leave all my tools? okay, after some gathering, I started with the resin
eye scanner. The red resin scanner piece gives a nice diffusion to the led's so I wanted to use that one.
wrong! the radius in which it was bend did not match the eye piece.
After heating it up and deforming, it fitted nicely to the rear of the eye piece.
Next problem, the Led board radius does not fit the eye piece as well.. Frack again! Well, that's what you get for buying a cheap one I guess.
I'll take it to work tomorrow and detach the Led's from the circuit board.
It will stick too far backward to wear the helmet anyway..I'll use some wires.
I'm off to bed.
I'll keep you posted on my progress
