The 1978 Cylon Centurion has a custom built electronic eye.

Screen accurate details:
- 32 light bulbs
- Electronics drive 32 bulbs in a repeating left to right sweeping
- Powered by the G&M Battery belt
- The modern day replacement for the classic bulb scanner is a 28 to 32 LEDs eye. Typically powered by 9 volt battery in the helmet or under suit. Several ByYourCommand.net members produce varying levels of eye for various budgets, all well built by members in good standing with the Cylon Empire. Some include sound options as well. - MP3 players with mini speakers are typically installed in Centurion builds to add the eye warble sound effect to a finished costume for a polished and professional level of Cylon-ness. The players can be installed in the helmet, chest armor, back pack, etc. It is the builder's decision as to what works best for their build and budget.
- No sound effects in original 1978 Cylon Centurions, that was added in post production to the show's soundtrack
