Wow, this is a big deal. I'm gathering up info still. Post some of your knowledge below and I'll get a write up together.
Notes:
- There is much debate about the colors of Cylon Centurions and if there are two or three colors (read it here). The Cylon Empire holds to that there are only two correct colors: 1. The gold Command Centurion and 2. The chrome Centurion. The reason for this are simple: the story lines of the show, the marketing and merchandise for Battlestar Galactica only ever show chrome and gold - not a third bronze colored Centurion. A bronze Centurion has no base in the canon of the classic telelvision show or place in the very limited higheracy of the Cylon's empire society.
- The Cylon Empire believes that any surviving screen used armor that may seem more bronze next to other surviving screen used gold armor is due to manufacturing inconsistencies by the original prop makers or the effects of time distorting the coloring.
- There is talk about a scene where a bronze and gold Centurion share the same screen time in a fan edit or some other dirative work... please post such a photo if you have it.
- The HERO mouth grills were cast aluminum and the depression on the back side was to hold the housing for the electronics for the eye scanner. The house had a vacforumed insert to prevent a short on the board. The board was a pin and wire wrap not a etched PC board.
