I was at the Rhode Island Comic Con 2012 and saw the Battlestar Galactica cast reunion. It was pretty cool seeing the original cast on stage together again. They had; Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Herbert Jefferson Jr., Noah Hathaway, Jack Stauffer and Sarah Rush. Laurette Spang, Terry Carter and Anne Lockhart were suppose to attend, but ended up not making it to the convention. It was still a blast to see that fine group of actors together.

Sounds like you had fun.

Have you taken any photos?

I was set to go there a few months ago, but things on my end change. Did you get to ask any questions to the cast?

I went with the kids today. We met Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Herbert Jefferson Jr., and Jack Stauffer. My son was wearing his classic BSG cylon and raider t shirt I picked up in Seattle at the Sci Fi Museum. They all signed his shirt and didn't ask for money ( although it was late in the day and I know they were charding $25 for a signature. )

They were all very chatty. Richard talked about and upcoming BSG feature film in the works and also insisted Blood and Chrome was going to come. Jack Stauffer is in a wheel chair and had the least to say. Dirk talked to us for about 15 minutes. He said he did not see the
A Team movie remake and seemed to want to talk more about the Ateam series. He was meticulous about signing the t shirt and wanted to make sure my son was happy with it. He noticed my younger son was wearing a soccer team shirt ( we had just come from his game). He told us that his son is a professional soccer player in Belgium. He then gave my son all kinds of soccer tips. We then met Herb Jefferson. He said he had a whole system for signing shirts and didn't need my son to take it off. After, he asked if either of the boys wanted a signed photo ( he told me there was no charge). They declined, then he asked me if I wanted one. I told him "no thanks you've really been kind enough" and he said, "are you sure?". With that I lifted my sweater to reveal my Cylon tshirt and said, "well if you insist". He burst out laughing and siad he wished he had that on video. He signed my shirt and sadly now I have to frame it!.

They all said they wished they had more time to explore the city but were doing 10 hour days and leaving for airport right after the show.

We then met Peter Mayhew ( Chewbacca) and Ryder Windham at a panel interview. The que was longer than the interview ( which was moderated by someone from geek.com and the small audience didnt get to ask questions.

There was a toy collector a few aisles over selling a really bad, beaten up gold cylon. the price was ,marked down to $1000 but he said to make an offer.

Sounds like you had a fun exciting time. Did you get any photos of the stars, and what about this Cylon. Was it a wearable suit? Anything else about the Cylon would be great also.

I got a photo of Richard signing the shirt. I usually dont like asking celebs for pics.

The cylon was wearble. looked liek it didnt have electrics. it was a vacuform kit with a gold taped helmet. Single cup shoulder pieces. The belt was just caps on a web belt.the boots were rubber mud boots poorly painted. the under suit appeared to be a rubber and the leather accents were maybe some type of hard board ( or just brittle from age) and didnt have a skirt. The sword was plastic ( like a kids toy). Rifle looked ok except for the broken bayonet.

should have grabbed a pic of it, but got distracted

Sounds like a Kropserkel suit. $1000 with a rifle, and sword in gold is a good price. Thank you very much.

I'll have some stuff from Saturday's special Galactica panel coming soon. Working on it this week with multiple camera angles. No Q&A from the audience, questions came from the moderator. Well, the gold Cylon Centurion in the dealers room was so badly beaten up and chipped that it was a total mess.Honestly, I didn't even think the Cylon was for sale. I thought it was just to get people to their booth...my bad. Again, stuff to be posted here soon.

Any idea why Jack was in a wheel chair?

Dont know about the chair, I didnt ask. But today while voting, one of the Board of Elections folks was the guy who was the Mediator at the BSG panel and the Peter Mayhew panel ( Stefan Blitz- Editor in Chief of Geek Media). He is one of the organizers. He said the show was a bigger success than they had planned and it will return and be bigger next year.

Here's a photo of the Command Centurion costume on display *shudder*:

Looks like a mix of Kropserkel and other parts...

Also note the extra pair of bicep armor halves used as wrist bands for the gloves...

The rifle looks like it was made by Starfortress Productions:
